How to use Searchira

1. Open Searchira

Click on the Searchira icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the extension popup.

2. Set up your connection

Enter your Jira URL and email address. To connect securely, you need an API token.

Create an API token

Log in to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens.
Click Create API token.
Enter a label and click Create.
Copy the token and paste it into Searchira.

3. Search for tickets

Use the search field in the popup to find Jira issues instantly.

• Search by issue key (e.g. SRCH-123)
• Search by title or keywords
• Quickly access recent or relevant tickets

4. Open tickets

Click on any result to open the Jira ticket directly in your browser.

5. Pin important tickets

Save frequently used tickets for quick access.

• Pin tickets to keep them at the top
• Reorder pinned tickets using drag and drop
• Access them anytime from the popup

6. Copy ticket information

Use the copy buttons to quickly reuse ticket details.

• Copy issue key
• Copy ticket title
• Paste into chats, emails, or documentation

7. Filters and sorting

Adjust how results are displayed.

• Sort by relevance, creation date, or last update
• Narrow down results to find what you need faster

8. Settings

Your Jira connection details are stored locally in your browser. You can update them anytime in the settings.
